The Effects of Personality Traits on Teaching Efficacy of English Teachers in Fujian-Taiwan Cooperative Universities in China

Objective: To understand the current situation and relationship between Big Five personality teaching efficacy of college English Teachers in Fujian-Taiwan cooperative universities. Method: By using Personality Questionnaire Short Form Teaching Efficacy Scale, 250 universities were investigated. Results: It was found that levels middle to upper level, traits agreeableness openness obvious. The personalities closely related their efficacy, among which extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, all significant positive predictors efficacy; negative efficacy.
